In the afternoon of February 23, some state Internet portals stopped working in Ukraine. Earlier, the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine warned of possible cyberattacks.
At about 16:00 Kyiv time, mass failures occurred in the work of the websites of state bodies of Ukraine. The websites of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stopped loading. The websites of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine also have malfunctioned.
The website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine also works with interruptions.
It is worth noting that earlier the government team for responding to computer emergencies in Ukraine (CERT-UA) warned that hackers plan to carry out cyberattacks on Ukrainian government sites.
Earlier, on February 15, a large-scale hacker attack was carried out on a number of Ukrainian sites. It affected the websites of several banks and government agencies. On the night of February 16, it continued, and the list of sites has expanded significantly.
According to the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, the DDoS attack on Ukrainian banks and government websites was the largest in the history of Ukraine and was aimed at destabilizing the situation.
